Quantum Computing Researcher

At Canadian Microelectronics Corporation, we are seeking a highly skilled Quantum Computing Researcher to join our Quantum Technologies Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in the development of quantum algorithm solutions and activities to train industrial and academic partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead research projects and work with team members to support CMC's activities and customers
  • Participate in outreach efforts, including presentations, scientific events, and networking within the quantum community
  • Contribute to grant writing for projects when required
Requirements:
  • Experience with one or more quantum programming languages, such as Qiskit, Pennylane, Cirq, or Forest
  • Experience with classical programming languages, including Python, C/C++, or Julia
  • Knowledge of Qiskit pulse is an asset
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact with researchers and communicate complex ideas to non-specialists
  • A strong background in quantum physics, quantum computing, and/or machine learning and/or high-performance computing
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Development of quantum algorithms in an industry setting
  • Qiskit Certificate and participation in the Qiskit advocate program
