Job Summary:

AFIMAC Canada is seeking an experienced and licensed Private Investigator to join our team in Ontario. As a Private Investigator, you will be responsible for conducting open-source intelligence inquiries, reviewing documentary and electronic information, and preparing high-quality written reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough investigations and gather intelligence on individuals and corporations for enhanced due diligence, litigation, and security matters.
  • Review and analyze documentary and electronic information to identify patterns, connections, and potential risks.
  • Support senior investigators and analysts in the conduct of their investigative activity.
  • Prepare detailed and accurate written reports, following our standard reporting methodology.
  • Conduct social media monitoring to identify risks, threats, and relevant content.
  • Maintain a focus on business requirements and develop solutions to meet the needs of our team.

Requirements:

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with researching, analyzing, and synthesizing data from online and offline sources.
  • Proficiency in standard office software, analytical tools, and social-media databases.
  • Demonstrated experience in open-source intelligence, investigations, intelligence analysis, and law, particularly dealing with commercial matters.
  • Organized and strong prioritization skills.
  • Current security clearance with the Government of Canada and provincial governments.
  • Current Ontario Private Investigator's license.
  • University degree in business, law, political science, criminology, or similar field.
  • Training in open-source intelligence analysis and analytical tools/techniques.
