Job Title: Maintenance Worker - Building

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Worker to join our team at Slave Lake Inn and Conference Centre LTD. As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our building.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Performing routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, painting, and repairing equipment and facilities
  • Responding to maintenance requests and resolving issues in a timely and efficient manner
  • Conducting safety inspections and reporting any hazards or concerns
  • Working with minimal supervision and taking initiative to complete tasks
  • Collaborating with other departments to ensure seamless operations
Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Worker will be responsible for:

  • Sweeping, mopping, and scrubbing hallways, floors, and stairs
  • Operating industrial vacuum cleaners to remove debris and dirt
  • Emptying trash cans and waste containers
  • Washing windows, interior walls, and ceilings
  • Performing minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems
  • Contacting contractors for repairs and maintenance
  • Performing safety and security checks
  • Supervising other workers
  • Moving heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies
  • Performing other routine maintenance tasks
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 2 years of experience in a maintenance or related field
  • Other trades certificate or diploma
  • Ability to work in all weather conditions
  • Willingness to relocate
  • Commercial building experience
