We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Worker to join our team at Slave Lake Inn and Conference Centre LTD. As a Maintenance Worker, you will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our hotel and conference centre.
Job Summary:- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning, repairs, and replacements of equipment and fixtures.
- Respond to maintenance requests from guests and staff in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities to identify and address potential maintenance issues.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operation of hotel services.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety protocols.
- Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs.
- Operate industrial vacuum cleaners to remove scraps, dirt, heavy debris, and other refuse.
- Empty trash cans and other waste containers.
- Wash windows, interior walls, and ceilings.
- Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Contact tradespersons for major repairs.
- Perform minor repairs on appliances.
- Perform safety and security checks.
- Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies.
- Perform other routine maintenance jobs, such as painting and drywall repair.
- Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens.
- Clean and disinfect bathrooms and fixtures.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas.
- Write maintenance reports.
- Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
- Assist in setting up and dismantling equipment.
- 1-2 years of experience in maintenance or a related field.
- College, CEGEP, or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 3 months to less than 1 year.
- Excellent oral communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle repetitive tasks.
- Physical stamina to perform heavy lifting and bending.
