Job Title: Housekeeping Room Attendant

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team at Halifax Tower Hotel Ltd. As a Housekeeping Room Attendant, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our hotel rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities:

  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies and upholstered furniture, make beds and change sheets, distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closet, clean, disinfect and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, clean and disinfect elevators.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Guest Services: Attend to guests' requests for extra supplies or other items.
  • Housekeeping: Perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.

Requirements:

  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Physical Demands: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, walking, standing for extended periods.
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, reliability, team player, excellent written communication, values and ethics.
