Restaurant Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Restaurant Operations Manager to join our team at Uptown Lounge. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our restaurant, ensuring exceptional customer service, and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities:
As our Restaurant Operations Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:
• Staff Management: Lead, train, and motivate our front-of-house staff to deliver exceptional customer service and ensure seamless table management.
• Cash Handling and Inventory Control: Oversee cash handling, balance sheets, and inventory management to minimize losses and maximize profits.
•
Liquor Laws and Regulations: Ensure compliance with provincial/territorial liquor legislation and regulations.
• Health and Safety: Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing health and safety regulations and protocols.
• Supplier Negotiations: Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate the best possible deals for food and other essential supplies.
• Leadership and Development: Provide leadership and guidance to junior staff members, fostering their growth and development within the company.
• Customer Service: Address customer complaints or concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Operations Planning: Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations to optimize efficiency and productivity.
• Supervision: Supervise a team of 5-10 staff members, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback as needed.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
• A high school diploma or equivalent;
• Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a similar role, preferably in a fast-paced restaurant environment;
• Certifications/Licenses: Responsible Beverage Service Certificate and Safe Food Handling certificate;
• Computer Skills: Proficiency in accounting software, electronic cash registers, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Word.
What We Offer:
In return for your hard work and dedication, we offer a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including dental and healthcare plans, and group insurance benefits.
