Director of Finance

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Finance to join our team at the University of St. Michael's College. As a key member of our senior administration, you will play a critical role in providing strategic financial leadership and direction to the university.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee financial accounting and reporting, treasury and cash management, pension fund administration, and risk and compliance.
  • Provide strategic insight and direction to the university's senior administration.
  • Lead a team of 5 individuals and attend meetings of the University's board, the Collegium, and other senior committees.
Requirements:
  • Progressive senior leadership experience as a business partner and advisor in a small, complex, and non-profit environment.
  • Experience relevant to the aforementioned units under the Director's purview, including not-for-profit accounting, investment, fund, pension, and technical accounting.
  • Hold an undergraduate degree from a recognized university along with a financial designation in good standing (CPA).
  • Experience working in Catholic education is considered an asset.
