Professional Development Specialist for Health Care Sector

About this Opportunity
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Professional Development Specialist for the health care sector. This role will focus on delivering standardized U-First training across the province, enhancing the skills and knowledge of person-centered care practices among workers in long-term care.
The successful candidate will have a post-secondary education or relevant degree in health care, social work, education, gerontology, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience working within the health or social care sector with people living with dementia and/or their caregivers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate required training and ongoing opportunities for professional development, coaching, and support to enhance the knowledge and skills of health-care education facilitators.
- Facilitate external train-the-trainer workshops to enhance health-care providers' capacity to deliver U-First training within their organization.
- Support awareness of the health-care provider education program for the health-care sector through various outreach and awareness activities.
Benefits:
