IT Support Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our internal IT support team at Worldsource Wealth Management.
Job OverviewThis role offers a unique opportunity to provide technical assistance to our organization, resolve IT-related issues, and collaborate with your team to maintain the functionality of our IT systems. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for employees experiencing technical difficulties, providing prompt and courteous service via phone, email, or in-person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Assistance: Respond to inquiries and technical issues, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software problems, including desktops, laptops, printers, and software applications.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of support requests, solutions, and follow-up actions using our ticketing system.
- System Setup: Assist in setting up and configuring new computer systems, software, and peripherals.
- Collaboration: Work closely with your support team to resolve complex technical issues and escalate when necessary.
- Training: Provide basic training to employees on software and hardware usage.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies, security protocols, and best practices.
- Industry Trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to enhance technical knowledge and skills.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
Requirements:
- Post-Secondary Education: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field is required.
- Technical Experience: 3+ years of experience in a technical support or help desk role.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Software Knowledge: Familiarity with Microsoft Windows and Office 365 Suite.
- Network Protocols: Basic knowledge of network protocols and troubleshooting.
- Virtualization Experience: Hands-on experience with VMware for virtualization and Microsoft Azure.
- Teamwork: Strong emphasis on teamwork and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Certifications: A+ certification or similar IT certifications is a plus.
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
