Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Slave Lake Inn and Conference Centre. As a Food Service Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and Coordinate Food Service Staff

Supervise and co-ordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.

Train and Develop Staff

Train staff in job duties, sanitation and safety procedures, and provide ongoing coaching and feedback to ensure that staff are meeting the highest standards.

Manage Food Quality and Safety

Ensure that all food and beverages meet quality control standards, and that all food safety procedures are followed at all times.

Manage Inventory and Supplies

Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation, and manage inventory levels to ensure that we have the necessary stock to meet demand.

Lead by Example

Lead by example, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional customer service and high-quality food, and promoting a positive and inclusive work environment.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience

Secondary (high) school graduation certificate, and 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a food service supervisory role.

Certifications and Licenses

Safe Food Handling certificate.

Language and Communication

Fluent in English, with excellent oral communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

Fast-paced environment, with tight deadlines and a combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
