Position Overview:

As the Chief Software Officer, your responsibilities will include:

  1. Overseeing Software Development: Manage the complete software development lifecycle for our educational platforms, from initial ideation to deployment and ongoing support.
  2. Strategic Vision: Formulate and implement the software strategy that aligns with our institutional goals. Establish objectives, prioritize initiatives, and lead the execution of critical projects.
  3. Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing software engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  4. Code Contribution: While your primary role will be strategic leadership, you will also have opportunities to contribute directly to coding efforts as needed.
  5. Collaborative Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including curriculum developers and IT specialists, to integrate software solutions into our educational offerings.
  6. Solution Architecture: Design and implement scalable, robust software solutions that enhance the functionality and performance of our educational systems.
  7. Industry Innovation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in educational software. Introduce new methodologies to enhance our software capabilities.
  8. Project Oversight: Manage software project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring timely delivery of solutions.

Who You Are:

The ideal candidate will possess a combination of the following skills, experience, and attributes:

  1. Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
  2. Professional Experience: At least 10 years of experience in software development, preferably in educational technology or related fields.
  3. Technical Proficiency: Expertise in software development methodologies, programming languages, and tools. Experience with educational software development and real-time systems is advantageous.
  4. Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead and manage software engineering teams, inspiring and developing team members.
  5. Strategic Mindset: Capability to develop and execute strategic plans focused on enhancing organizational efficiency.
  6. Collaborative Spirit: Experience working effectively with diverse teams and driving collaborative efforts.
  7. Adaptability: Comfortable navigating a fast-paced, dynamic environment with evolving challenges.
