Job Summary

VSG Landscaping and Renovation is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Foreman/Woman to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the planning, execution, and completion of various landscaping projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Hiring and Supervision: Recruit, train, and supervise a team of landscaping staff to ensure the successful completion of projects.
  • Project Planning: Plan and direct grounds maintenance, including the construction of decks, decorative or retaining walls, and landscape construction work.
  • Estimation and Budgeting: Plan, manage, and supervise labor and material costs to ensure projects are completed within budget.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Repair and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
  • Contract Administration: Tender and administer contracts with suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Quality Control: Ensure high-quality workmanship and attention to detail on all projects.
  • Work Scheduling: Establish and manage work schedules and procedures to ensure efficient project completion.
  • Supervision: Supervise a team of 1 to 2 people.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field.
  • Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, physically demanding, and attention to detail.
  • Physical Capabilities: Combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Tools and Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots.
