Job Summary

Under the direction of the Assistant Recreation Manager – Programs & Events, the Event Coordinator will develop, coordinate, and advance the operational effectiveness of key UNA events.

This role involves providing strategic program leadership and oversight to event operations, overseeing the development, management, and execution of engagement events of various size, scope, and significance that align with the goals and practices of the portfolio.

The Event Coordinator will identify and implement tactics to expand the profile of UNA events, while evolving execution with a focus on increasing attendance, engagement, and revenue at all events.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, coordinate, and advance the operational effectiveness of key UNA events.
  • Provide strategic program leadership and oversight to event operations.
  • Oversee the development, management, and execution of engagement events.
  • Identify and implement tactics to expand the profile of UNA events.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree in a relevant discipline.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Considerable project management and event experience gained through progressively more responsible positions with an emphasis on service delivery.
  • Demonstrated financial accountability and financial fluency.
  • Demonstrated ability to build partnerships and alliances with volunteers, partners, business communities, association partners, and staff.
