Clinical Interventionist

The IWK Health Centre is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Interventionist to join our Provincial Preschool Autism Service team. As a Clinical Interventionist, you will play a critical role in providing assessment, intervention, and support to preschool-age children with autism and their families.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the needs of preschool-age children with autism and their families.
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans to address the needs of children and their families.
- Provide direct support to children and their families through various intervention models, including the 12-month intensive intervention model.
- Collaborate with an interprofessional team to provide comprehensive care to children and their families.
- Supervise and support Program Implementers in the implementation of intervention plans.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Clinical Psychology, Speech Language Pathology, Occupational Therapy, or Board-certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA).
- Registration or eligibility for registration with the appropriate professional body in Nova Scotia.
- Valid Class 5 Nova Scotia driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- CPR certification within the last 12 months and certification in First Aid.
- Two years recent experience working with children with autism (ages 0-6 years old) and their families.
