Job Summary

We're seeking a skilled Electrical Planner to join our Project Planning Services team. As a key member of our team, you'll be responsible for producing installation drawings, interpreting construction drawings, and collaborating with field teams to adjust designs for on-site requirements.

Responsibilities
  • Produce installation drawings for field teams to allow for efficient install of electrical systems on a project
  • Interpret construction drawings including electrical, architectural, mechanical, and structural
  • Collaborate with field teams to adjust designs for on-site requirements
  • Work as part of a team to support the planning of multiple projects
  • Work in an office environment and utilize computer programs to efficiently produce installation drawings
Requirements
  • Must be a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice
  • Must have a minimum 1-2 years of field experience including: Concrete Slab projects, Wire Installation, Distribution installation is an asset
  • High attention to detail
  • Positive attitude
  • Willing to learn or re-learn methods of planning
  • Good communication skills
  • Passionate about research & fine detailing within the planning scope
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Adaptable, organized, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Should enjoy working with computers and willing to learn AutoCAD and Bluebeam
  • A good grasp of the CEC
