About this role:

Houle is seeking a dedicated and eager Electrical Planner to join our Project Planning Services team. This position is a great opportunity for those with a background in electrical construction.

Your responsibilities

  • Produce installation drawings for field teams to allow for efficient install of electrical systems on a project
  • Interpret construction drawings including electrical, architectural, mechanical and structural
  • Collaborate with field teams to adjust designs for on-site requirements
  • Work as part of a team to support the planning of multiple projects
  • Work in an office environment and utilize computer programs to efficiently produce installation drawings

Your experience and skills

  • Must be a 2nd or 3rd year apprentice
  • Must have a minimum 1-2 years of field experience including: Concrete Slab projectsWire InstallationDistribution installation is an asset
  • High attention to detail
  • Positive attitude
  • Willing to learn or re-learn methods of planning
  • Good communication skills
  • Passionate about research & fine detailing within the planning scope
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
  • Adaptable, organized and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Should enjoy working with computers and willing to learn AutoCAD and Bluebeam.
  • A good grasp of the CEC
