Job Title: Commercial Driver

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Driver to join our team at AMPOWER ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS. As a Commercial Driver, you will be responsible for safely operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive lighter, special purpose trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Load and unload goods in a safe and efficient manner
  • Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection of vehicles to ensure safety and security of cargo
  • Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
  • Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
  • Load, unload and transport construction materials
Requirements:
  • AZ class license
  • Local transportation/travel experience
  • Attention to detail
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Flexibility and reliability
  • Supports newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Provides awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth
  • Provides cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
Work Environment:

As a Commercial Driver with AMPOWER ELECTRICAL CONTRACTORS, you will work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on safety and efficiency. You will be required to work 35 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
