Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Truck Driver to join our team at 2435356 Ontario Inc. as a Logistics Specialist. As a key member of our transportation team, you will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining our fleet of commercial vehicles, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods to our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and Maintain Vehicles: Safely operate and maintain our fleet of commercial vehicles, including straight and articulated trucks, to transport goods and materials.
  • Load and Unload Goods: Load and unload goods from vehicles, ensuring accurate and efficient handling of cargo.
  • Inspect Vehicles: Conduct regular pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicles are in good working condition.
  • Perform Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including brake adjustments, tire checks, and other repairs as needed.
  • Communicate with Dispatch: Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely and efficient communication.
  • Ensure Safety and Security: Ensure the safety and security of cargo, including tarping and securing loads.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: AZ class license, Air Brakes Endorsement, and a valid Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience as a commercial vehicle driver, with a strong understanding of transportation regulations and safety protocols.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This is a physically demanding role that requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with regular travel and overnight stays. The successful candidate will be required to work in a variety of weather conditions and will be expected to maintain a high level of physical fitness.
