Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Power Supply Construction to join our team at Alstom. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for overseeing the construction of power supply sites, ensuring that all works are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the overall management of power supply site works, from preparation to completion and handover.
- Accountable for ensuring compliance with Alstom's EHS rules and creating a 0 accident and 0 deviations culture.
- Responsible for planning and executing site works, including the management of suppliers and subcontractors.
- Ensure quality management in coordination with the QA/QC team, including audits, modifications, and NCRs.
- Manage construction interfaces with other subsystems, including OCS, Trackworks, and Signalling teams.
- Define installation strategies for power supply construction activities and lead the Buy/Do decision process.
- Conduct constructability reviews with power supply teams and develop methodologies considering safety and operation aspects.
- Ensure on-time delivery of all power supply works and prepare related gate reviews.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Civil Works, or scientific subjects.
- Professional Engineer designation as per Canadian regulations.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in construction oversight and management of T&D or Railway Power Supply projects.
- Familiarity with NFPA 70E and NESC requirements for electrical maintenance and construction of power distribution systems.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Railway Operations, systems, ET maintenance, and construction.
- Strong knowledge of Canada standards and common practices.
- Fluent in English, second language appreciated.
