About the Role

BDO Canada LLP is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager to join our Domestic Tax team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional tax advisory services to our clients, driving business growth, and leading a team of professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluate Client Business Processes: Assess and advise on tax policies and strategies to meet market needs, and develop proactive tax plans to capitalize on business opportunities.
  • Apply Specialized Knowledge: Anticipate, identify, and address tax issues relevant to the client's business, providing both technical and project management leadership to team members.
  • Provide Quality Leadership: Ensure quality control standards are in place, and engage in training staff and investing in the professional development of your team.
  • Develop and Implement Strategies: Identify and develop strategies for clients to capitalize on business and tax opportunities, including preparing and reviewing tax reorganizations, and reviewing corporate, trust, and estate tax returns.
Requirements
  • Professional Designations: Completed CPA designation and In-Depth Tax Program, and/or Master's in Tax.
  • Experience: 7 years' experience in public accounting with a specialization in Tax for a minimum of 3 years.
  • Skills: Extensive understanding of relevant tax legislation, corporate, personal, and trust tax planning and compliance, with a strong focus on teamwork, client service, and quality in detailed work.
