About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Manager at KPMG Canada. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing various client assurance and tax engagements, including reviews and compilations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage client engagements from planning to completion, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality statements and other deliverables.
  • Counsel, train, and mentor assurance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with clients and partners to resolve complex issues and develop effective solutions that meet their needs.
  • Apply KPMG's assurance and accounting practices/methodologies on client engagements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
Requirements
  • Accounting degree and Canadian CPA designation.
  • At least 5 years of experience working with a public practice accounting firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards for Private Enterprises (ASPE) and Canadian corporate and personal tax.
  • Previous experience advising clients on day-to-day tax matters and reviews and compilation engagements.
  • Excellent client service skills, with the ability to understand clients' businesses and develop strong relationships.
  • Ability to manage conflicting demands and priorities, with a focus on delivering high standards of client service.
  • Strong team player with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Professional accounting firm experience is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage staff through effective delegation and strong leadership qualities.
  • Excellent English written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
