Nurse Practitioner

The Registered Nurse (RN) - Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) role is a dynamic and challenging opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals and communities. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide comprehensive and coordinated nursing services related to sexual and reproductive health, including STBBI screening, testing, treatment, and contact tracing, contraceptive management, pelvic exams, cervical cancer screening, and HIV pre and post-exposure prophylaxis, immunizations, and gender-affirming care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply a health equity, social justice, and social determinants of health lens to all key responsibilities
- Ensure clients are supported in navigating the healthcare system
- Provide trauma-informed, person-centered, gender-inclusive, holistic, and culturally safe care, honouring Indigenous knowledge, wisdom, and diversity
- Provide care within a person and family-centered care model
About this Opportunity:
This is a permanent part-time (0.52 FTE) opportunity with a strong focus on prevention, education, health promotion, assessment, treatment, contact tracing, coordination, support, liaison, and client referral to other health services.
The nurse works in partnership with other healthcare providers and community-based services and agencies, both internal and external to IH, providing clinic-based services as well as outreach-based services.
Travel is a requirement for this position, and transportation arrangements must meet the Employer's requirements.
You are required to hold a valid BC Driver's License and may be required to drive a personal car on mileage and/or be assigned a fleet vehicle as a condition of employment.
