Job Summary

The Carpet Factory is seeking a skilled Flooring Installation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for installing a variety of flooring products, including carpet, hardwood, and resilient flooring. You will work closely with our customers to ensure their flooring needs are met, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the installation process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install carpeting, hardwood, and resilient flooring
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in flooring installation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
