Job Title: Flooring Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Flooring Specialist to join our team at THE CARPET FACTORY. As a Flooring Specialist, you will be responsible for installing and maintaining various types of flooring, including carpet, hardwood, and resilient flooring.

Work Environment

Our Flooring Specialists work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial locations. You will be required to work on-site, often in customers' homes or businesses, and may be required to travel to different locations.

Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered
  • Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding
  • Prepare flooring plans and scheduling
  • Install carpeting, hardwood, and resilient flooring
  • Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Estimate costs and materials
  • Prepare floors for installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants
Requirements
  • 5 years or more of experience in flooring installation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
