Job Title: Computer Network Technician

We are seeking a skilled Computer Network Technician to join our team at Cancomm Contracting Ltd. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computer networks, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and mainframe networks
  • Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, and operating system software
  • Provide technical support to network users, resolving issues and ensuring minimal downtime
  • Perform routine network start-up and close-down procedures, maintaining control records
  • Supervise technical staff and participate in training and development programs
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in computer network administration
  • Strong knowledge of networking protocols, hardware, and software
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Participation in government or community programs supporting newcomers, refugees, youth, veterans, or Indigenous people
  • Fluency in English and/or French
