Line Cook

We are seeking a skilled Line Cook to join our team at Vietnam Soup and Sub Inc. as a key member of our kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods to meet the high standards of our customers.
- Food Safety and Handling: Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure a clean and safe environment for food preparation and service.
- Team Leadership: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers to ensure efficient and effective food preparation and service.
- Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment to ensure optimal kitchen operations.
- Cleaning and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize kitchen areas, including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances, and equipment.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but a Safe Food Handling certificate is a must.
- Experience: Will train the right candidate.
- Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a fast-paced atmosphere.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to handle heavy loads, work in a physically demanding environment, and stand for extended periods.
- Cuisine Specialties: Experience in vegetarian and Vietnamese cuisine is an asset.
- Food Specialties: Knowledge of stocks, soups, and sauces, as well as meat, poultry, and game, eggs, dairy, cereals, grains, and pulses.
- Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment with attention to detail, handling heavy loads, and physically demanding tasks.
- Personal Suitability: Dependability, initiative, organized, reliability, team player, and time management skills are essential.
