Drive Business Growth and Lead a High-Performing Private Banking Team

As an Associate Director, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our Private Banking presence within your assigned geographic area. You'll lead, coach, and motivate a team of dedicated professionals to achieve ambitious financial goals while delivering exceptional client experiences.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Business Development & Client Acquisition: Develop and execute strategic initiatives to attract and retain high-net-worth clients. Actively market customized credit solutions, insurance products, and wealth management strategies tailored to individual client needs.
  • Team Leadership & Coaching: Provide guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback to a team of Private Bankers, Associate Private Bankers, and Senior Associates. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Portfolio Management & Risk Mitigation: Oversee the management of client portfolios, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and risk management protocols. Negotiate customized credit terms and conditions, safeguarding the Bank's interests while fostering mutually beneficial relationships.
  • Relationship Building & Client Advocacy: Cultivate strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial goals and providing tailored solutions. Act as a trusted advisor, leveraging Scotiabank's diverse product offerings to meet client needs.
  • Operational Excellence: Implement effective management controls, monitor expenses, and ensure efficient workflows within the team. Provide direction and support to the Manager, Client Services, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
Your Qualifications:

We seek an experienced banking professional with a proven track record in commercial lending and client relationship management.

  • Minimum 5 years of commercial lending experience and 10 years of overall banking experience.
  • University degree (BComm, MBA, CFA), complemented by industry certifications (e.g., CSC, PFP, CFP).
  • Exceptional interpersonal, leadership, and business development skills.
