About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Architect to join our team at TBD Architecture + Urban Planning. As an Architect, you will be responsible for designing and developing building plans and detailed drawings to be used by contractors and tradespersons.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consult with clients to determine the type, style, and purpose of renovations or new building construction being considered
  • Generate building plans and detailed drawings to be used by contractors and tradespersons
  • Manage the coordination and overall integration of technical activities in architecture or engineering projects
  • Project management
  • Work in limiting factors, such as town planning laws and environmental impact assessments
  • Conceptualize and design buildings and develop plans describing design specifications, building materials, costs, and construction schedules
  • Prepare sketches and models
  • Perform architectural research
  • Monitor activities on construction sites to ensure compliance with specifications
Requirements
  • Membership in the Provincial Association of Architects
  • Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification offered by the Canada Green Building Council
  • Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, MS Office, AutoCAD, Autodesk REVIT, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite
  • Experience in project coordination and architectural specialization
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines
