We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Scale Clerk to join our team at American Iron and Metal. As a Scale Clerk, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our weighing and logistics processes.
Key Responsibilities- Weighing and Logistics Coordination: Weigh trucks loaded and empty, control the number of trucks entering the yard, and direct trucks to the proper unloading area.
- Reception and Inventory Management: Create reception tickets for receiving product, create expedition tickets for exporting product, and record daily inventory of material entering the yard.
- Administrative Support: Provide general reception duties, including answering and screening incoming calls, accepting and sorting deliveries, and replenishing office supplies.
- Travel and Representation: Ability to travel in the Maritimes to cover vacations and other absences at other AIM Sites.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Scale Clerk or in a similar role.
- Language: Bilingual (English/French) is an asset.
- Skills: Ability to work in a team environment in high-pressure situations, strong written and oral communication skills, basic knowledge of office administration, and proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
