Job Title: Financial Controller - Automotive Industry

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to join our team at Waterford Executive. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial reporting and accounting functions of our global Tier 1 automotive manufacturer are carried out in accordance with company guidelines.

Responsibilities:
  • Budgeting and Financial Planning: Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, institutes and maintains other planning and control procedures, and analyzes and reports variances.
  • Financial Reporting: Responsible for preparation and review of consolidated financial reports, including balance sheet, income statement, cash flow statements, capital spending, and intercompany balances.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local corporate, and other applicable taxes.
  • Internal Reporting: Furnish internal reports, revises and updates reports to be more useful and efficient, and furnishes external reports as necessary.
  • Financial Controls: Ensure that corporate accounting policies are followed by the divisions and that internal compliance measures are taken and results reported to the executive branch of the organization.
  • International Communication: Regular communication with all other divisional controllers, including international locations.
Qualifications:
  • Education: Business Degree or equivalent.
  • Designation or Experience: Designation or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: Experience in areas such as audit, corporate financial reporting, product valuation methods, month-end closing procedures, year-end closing procedures, external audit preparation.
  • Travel: Ability to travel internationally is a must.
  • Skills: Self-motivated, self-starter, knowledge of business KPI measurements, experienced user of spreadsheets, PowerPoint, Word, and analytic applications.
  • Language: Mandarin is required for this position.
  • International Business Exposure: International business exposure to US, Mexico, Europe, China desired.
  • ERP Experience: Experience with major ERP business systems.
