Job Summary

Ornge is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Rotor Wing Captain to join our team. As a Rotor Wing Captain, you will be responsible for the safe operation of our aircraft, ensuring the highest level of service to our patients and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate rotor-wing aircraft in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all relevant regulations and procedures.
  • Develop and implement flight plans, ensuring timely and effective transportation of patients and medical teams.
  • Collaborate with other aviation personnel to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain and enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive team culture, promoting a safe and respectful work environment.

Requirements

  • Valid Air Transport Pilot's Licence (ATPL) (Helicopter) issued by Transport Canada.
  • Minimum of 2000 hours of rotary-wing flight experience.
  • Minimum of 500 hours of experience as a Pilot-In-Command (PIC) of a multi-engine aircraft.
  • Two (2) years' experience in Instrument Flight Operations.
  • Valid Group 4 Instrument Rating.
  • Valid Class 1 Medical.
  • Ability to work varied shifts, including days, nights, and weekends, and be willing to relocate to a base location.
