Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Det'on Cho Management LP. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive OHS program that ensures a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Develop and execute effective OHS procedures to enhance the program and ensure compliance with regulations.
  2. Provide technical support and guidance to management and employees on OHS matters.
  3. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to safety standards.
  4. Communicate and implement changes to policies and procedures in collaboration with senior management.
  5. Monitor compliance with OHS policies and procedures and provide feedback to senior management.
  6. Evaluate health and safety practices and procedures for risk assessment and legal compliance.
  7. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of OHS incidents and trends to senior leadership.
  8. Develop and implement training programs to promote a safety culture and ensure employee understanding of OHS policies and procedures.
  9. Collaborate with senior management to develop and implement strategies to minimize hazards and prevent occupational risks.
  10. Stay up-to-date with changes in OHS regulations and standards and ensure compliance with all applicable legislation.
Requirements
  1. Education in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related fields.
  2. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in safety management.
  3. Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of an OHS program on projects of increasing complexity.
  4. Relevant professional certifications or memberships (e.g., CRSP, CRST) are advantageous.
  5. Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  7. Ability to freely access all points of a work site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
  8. Able to successfully communicate with all levels of the organization.
  9. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  10. Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
  11. Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
  12. Willingness to travel and relocate to project sites as needed.
