Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Det'on Cho Management LP. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining our Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Program across all our enterprises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective OHS policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulations and minimize hazards.
  • Provide technical support and training to employees to promote a safety culture and create a safe work environment.
  • Oversee the OHS Program, including monitoring compliance, conducting risk assessments, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Communicate with senior management and employees to ensure that OHS policies and procedures are understood and implemented.
  • Participate in inspections and investigations to identify and mitigate risks and hazards.
  • Develop and implement corrective actions to address OHS issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Provide regular reports to management and senior leadership on OHS performance and trends.
  • Collaborate with regulatory agencies and industry groups to stay up-to-date on OHS regulations and best practices.
  • Support the development and implementation of OHS training programs for employees.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to ensure compliance with OHS regulations and company standards.
Requirements
  • Education in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related fields.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in safety management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Thorough comprehension of Federal, Provincial, and local regulations regarding Occupational Health and Safety.
  • Ability to freely access all points of a work site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
  • Willingness to travel and relocate to project sites as needed.
