We are seeking a skilled Hat Craftsman to join our team at Sixhats Apparel Ltd.

About the Role

As a Hat Craftsman, you will be responsible for creating made-to-measure garments and accessories, including hats, according to customer and manufacturing specifications. This role requires a high level of manual dexterity, attention to detail, and ability to work with various materials and tools.

You will also be expected to fit, alter, and repair garments as required, lay out, cut, sew, and press materials to make hats, and operate sewing machines or sew by hand.

This is a physically demanding role that requires standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling for extended periods. You must be able to lift heavy objects and move around the workshop easily.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in hat-making, tailoring, or a related field;
  • No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant training or apprenticeship is an asset;
  • Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills;
  • Ability to distinguish between colors and patterns;
  • Strong attention to detail and quality control skills;
  • Physical stamina to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.

The Hat Craftsman will work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with frequent deadlines and changing priorities. You must be able to adapt quickly to new tasks and responsibilities while maintaining a high level of productivity and quality.
