Job Title: Clinical Manager - Laboratory Medicine

At William Osler Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Manager to lead our Laboratory Medicine team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for laboratory services to meet the clinical and operational needs of the hospital.
  • Manage a team of laboratory professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and mentoring to ensure excellent patient care and service delivery.
  • Collaborate with senior leaders, medical staff, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and coordination of laboratory services.
  • Monitor and analyze operational performance data and quality assurance requirements to identify opportunities for service improvements.
  • Develop and implement human resource plans to maximize the effective utilization of staff resources.
  • Manage the annual department budget, including staffing, operational, and capital resources, and ensure compliance with financial accountability.
Requirements:
  • Completion of an accredited medical laboratory technology diploma program or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of six years supervisory experience in a laboratory medicine setting.
  • Strong strategic leadership skills, with experience in complex organizations with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish effective relationships with interdisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of data collection, financial statements, budgets, and hospital and laboratory information systems.
