About this Position:

This is an exciting opportunity to join the BC Public Service Agency as a Director of Health Funding Reform. As a key member of the Strategic Financial Services team, you will be responsible for providing essential financial analysis and support for ministry initiatives, ensuring budget alignment and sustainable funding.

This role requires a strong understanding of financial management and policy analysis, as well as experience in business case development and analysis, contract management, and managing multi-disciplinary professional and technical staff.

You will work closely with executives and stakeholders to establish collaborative relationships and lead organizational change associated with implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide financial analysis and support for ministry initiatives
  • Ensure budget alignment and sustainable funding
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures
  • Manage and lead a team of financial analysts and specialists
  • Collaborate with executives and stakeholders to establish collaborative relationships
  • Lead organizational change associated with implementation

Requirements:

  • Accounting designation (CPA) or bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, economics or other related field
  • Minimum five (5) years of recent, related experience
  • Experience in financial analysis and/or policy analysis, financial management and project management
  • Experience in business case development and analysis, contract management and managing multi-disciplinary professional and technical staff
  • Experience providing information and/or recommendations through verbal and written briefings for senior executive
  • Experience establishing collaborative relationships with executives and stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Additional experience beyond the listed minimum requirements
  • Master's degree in business administration or public administration
  • Experience working in a public health financial sector
