About the RoleWe are seeking an Associate Product Manager to join our expanding team in our head office in Montreal. As a key member of our product development team, you will play a crucial role in contributing to the development of new and innovative LED solutions. Your passion for product development, creativity, and hands-on approach will be essential in bringing forward new ideas and collaborating with our product development team and engineers in China.
Key Responsibilities- Contribute to the development of new and innovative LED solutions, bringing forward new ideas and collaborating with the product development team.
- Work closely with our product development team and engineers in China on new projects, ensuring seamless communication and collaboration.
- Manage and maintain data integrity during the product development process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Organize and manage all product files, including drawings, catalogs, pricing, testing results, and reports.
- Collaborate with the Product Manager and Marketing team on product literature, including packaging, instruction sheets, and marketing materials in print and digital formats.
- Communicate project timelines effectively, ensuring timely completion and delivery.
- Participate as a product expert in sales presentations and customer service training, providing valuable insights and expertise.
- Conduct competitive research analysis to provide comparable tools for our sales team, ensuring informed decision-making.
- Prepare reports and presentations for customer and management meetings, showcasing key findings and recommendations.
- Assist with special projects as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- 1-3 years of experience in product management or project coordination, with a strong understanding of product development processes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to learn quickly and become a subject matter expert in a constantly changing market.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business or engineering, with a strong technical background.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with experience working with Adobe, CAD, and Solid Works.
- Experience working with lighting products, electrical products, or SMART products is an asset, but not required.
Compensation and title are commensurate with experience, offering a competitive package that reflects your skills and qualifications.
