BC Women's Hospital & Health Centre is seeking a skilled Counsellor to join our Centre for Pelvic Pain and Endometriosis. As a member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide treatment and case management services to adults with chronic pelvic pain and concurrent mental health concerns.
Key Responsibilities:- Work collaboratively with our team to provide individual and group therapy sessions, as well as crisis intervention and consultations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans that address the complex needs of our clients.
- Provide education and support to clients and their families on pain management and mental health strategies.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and community agencies to ensure comprehensive care.
- Participate in program evaluation and quality improvement initiatives to enhance client services.
- Master's degree in a related field, such as Counselling Psychology or Clinical Social Work.
- Specific training and certification in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, pain science, trauma/PTSD, and mindfulness-based therapies.
- Two years of recent experience in community and/or hospital organizations providing treatment services to chronic pain patients.
- Eligibility for membership and registration in the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors.
