Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Shift Manager to join our team at FOUR WINDS MOTEL INC. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and quality food.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish efficient work schedules to meet customer demand
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of staff who prepare and portion food
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation
  • Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards
  • Address customer complaints or concerns
  • Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage
  • Prepare and submit reports
  • Establish work schedules

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment
  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience

Work Environment:

  • Permanent position
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English language
