Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Shift Manager to join our team at FOUR WINDS MOTEL INC. As a Shift Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service team, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and high-quality food.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and implement efficient work schedules to meet customer demand
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of food preparation staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed to a high standard
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, minimizing waste and optimizing resources
  • Monitor and maintain quality control standards, addressing any issues promptly and effectively
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
  • Maintain accurate records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage, providing valuable insights for business improvement
  • Prepare and submit reports, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

  • Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition, helping them to integrate into our team and community
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for all employees

Support for Indigenous People:

  • Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers, promoting career advancement and personal growth
  • Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to all employees, fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect

Requirements:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field

Work Environment:

  • Permanent position
  • 30 to 40 hours per week
  • English language required
