Job Title: Clinical Service Leader

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Service Leader to join our team at the Winnipeg Regional Health Authority (WRHA). As a key member of our Respiratory Services team, you will be responsible for leading the daily clinical service delivery and environmental/operational issues in the designated service area.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and guide respiratory therapists and support staff in the designated service area, providing clinical leadership, mentoring, supervision, education, evaluation, and research.
  • Contribute to the delivery of quality respiratory therapy services by examining, developing, refining, and evaluating the body of knowledge and clinical practices.
  • Assist with performance appraisals, recruitment, and coordination of clinical work schedules, caseloads, and service rotations.
  • Maintain a partial clinical caseload, including Respiratory Therapy assessment, interventions, and follow-up within established standards of care.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of five years recent, relevant Respiratory Therapy experience in a large complex environment.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Entry-to-practice academic credential in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited Canadian program or a MARRT approved equivalent.
  • Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or another field of study with a relevant major.
Working Conditions:
  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods without resting.
  • Manual dexterity and visual acuity required.
  • Ability to lift heavy medical equipment and push wheeled equipment.
