About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Water Resources Engineer / Project Manager to join our team in Burnaby, BC. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a variety of water resources projects.

  1. Stormwater and watershed management and modeling
  2. Environmental assessments
  3. Hydrology
  4. Hydraulics
  5. Stream rehabilitation / natural channel design
  6. In-field assessments and monitoring

You will work directly with the group manager, project engineers, fluvial geomorphologists, ecologists, less experienced staff on projects related to Water Resources.

Main Responsibilities

  • Communicate with clients, lead meetings, manage projects, complete technical analysis, prepare reports, and conceptual / preliminary and detailed designs of stormwater management infrastructure.
  • Growing business and positioning for upcoming work using local knowledge and contacts.
  • Support client follow-up and develop strong relationships with clients in coordination with other Water Resources staff.
  • Participate in conferences and sponsorship opportunities to advance AECOM's position in the Water Resources market sector.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Water Resources or Civil Engineering.
  • 8+ years of water resources experience, with 5+ years of project management experience.
  • Registered as a P.Eng or eligible within 6-12 months.
  • Excellent time management skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Knowledge of water resources policies and practices.
  • Experience with various water resources modeling programs e.g. HEC-RAS, PC-SWMM/EPA SWMM, VISUAL OTTHYMO, InfoWorks, etc.
  • Familiarity with ArcGIS.
  • Strong competencies with Microsoft Office and analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational, project, client, and staff management skills.

This role offers the potential for fast career progression within AECOM. The salary range for this position is $120,000 - $180,000 per year, depending on experience.
