About the Role

At Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to fill the position of Swim Instructor and Lifeguard. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing quality leisure programs and ensuring the safety of our military members and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver swimming lessons and supervise pool activities, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants.
  • Prevent accidents and respond to emergency situations, utilizing your lifeguarding skills and knowledge.
  • Design and implement aquatic programs for various age groups, including seniors and children.
  • Motivate and engage students, helping them reach their full potential and develop a lifelong love of swimming.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a seamless and efficient operation of our aquatic programs.
Requirements
  • Current National Lifeguard Service (NLS) certification.
  • Current CPR and Standard First Aid certification.
  • Current recognized Swim Instructor certification.
  • High Five Principles of Healthy Child Development or High Five Sport certification.
  • High Five Healthy Minds for Healthy Children certification.
  • Experience in dealing with the public, including children, and performing lifeguard duties.
  • Strong observational and communication skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
