Store Manager - Operations
The Store Manager - Operations is a key member of our leadership team at J.D. Irving, Limited. This role is responsible for overseeing all store operations, including financial performance, associate management, and creating a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage store inventory levels by collaborating with the replenishment team and office manager.
- Work with the Fleet Coordinator to ensure safe and efficient delivery fleet operations.
- Lead change management initiatives in the store to implement process improvements and alternative solutions.
- Participate in the recruitment process for new store associates.
- Develop and coach associate performance through one-on-one mentoring and goal setting.
- Promote a safe work environment by participating in Health and Safety events and collaborating with the safety team.
- Foster strong interpersonal relationships among store associates.
Requirements:
- Minimum 5+ years of operational management experience.
- Experience in fleet management and shipping is an asset.
- Knowledge of building supplies is an asset.
- Experience working in a safety-conscious environment and adhering to safety protocols is an asset.
- Ability to navigate high-pressure situations and make informed decisions.
- Skilled in leveraging market and financial trends to forecast sales targets and delivery needs.
- Ability to manage a high-velocity workplace through critical thinking and business acumen.
- Ability to proactively drive business results and minimize risks through continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
