Grocery Store Assistant Manager

At Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS), we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Grocery Store Assistant Manager to join our team. As a key member of our retail operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the management of store operations, including maintaining and maximizing sales, controlling expenditures, and reviewing stock relative to sales and gross profit.
- Monitor inventory levels and oversee stocktaking to ensure accurate and efficient inventory management.
- Develop and implement marketing strategies to promote sales and drive revenue growth.
- Assist employees in merchandizing and proper use of layout and display techniques to enhance the shopping experience.
- Recommend improvements to sales events and seasonal promotions to drive sales and revenue growth.
- High school diploma and several years of experience in retail operations.
- Experience in business planning and budgeting, cost-benefit analysis, and preparing reports.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to build and mentor a team of sales people.
- Competencies in client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork, and leadership.
French is essential for this role.
