Grocery Store Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grocery Clerk to join our team at Canadian Forces Morale and Welfare Services (CFMWS). As a Grocery Clerk, you will play a vital role in supporting the provision of retail services to our unique client base - members of the Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) and their families.
Key Responsibilities- Assist with merchandising and stocking sections of the grocery store, ensuring shelf label retail prices are correct.
- Assist in receiving stock, verifying shipments for damages or shortages.
- Record temperature readings on refrigeration equipment and inform your supervisor of any food spoilage or expired products.
- Assist with bagging customers' groceries and carrying out of merchandise.
- Return shopping carts to the store interior and remove snow and ice from walkways and loading areas.
- Ensure shelves and grocery store areas are clean and merchandise in receiving areas and warehouse are secure.
- Education, Certifications and Licenses: An acceptable combination of education, training, and experience will also be considered.
- Food Handling Certification, as required.
- Experience: In a grocery store or similar environment, in food handling.
- Competencies: Client focus, organizational knowledge, communication, innovation, teamwork and leadership.
French Essential.
