As a key member of our retail team, the Assistant Store Manager plays a vital role in driving sales growth, delivering exceptional customer service, and fostering a positive store environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and develop a high-performing team of sales associates to achieve sales goals and provide outstanding customer service.
- Partner with the Store Manager to implement visual merchandising directives, maintain store standards, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Supervise floor coverage, including opening and closing the store, and ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Develop and implement strategies to drive sales growth, improve customer engagement, and increase customer loyalty.
- Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve financial and operational objectives, including expense control, loss prevention, and store audits.
- Recruit, train, and develop store staff to meet business needs and ensure a high level of customer service.
- Model behavior that respects the background, experience, and cultural differences of others, while upholding the integrity and values of the VF Corporation and The North Face brand.
- 3+ years of store leadership experience in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
- Proven ability to meet and exceed sales results, drive business growth, and improve customer engagement.
- Excellent decision-making and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented and organized, with excellent time management skills.
- Proficient in computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheets, and software programs.
- Associate Degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
