Join the Northern Health Region as a Licensed Practical Nurse in our Geriatric Care team. We are seeking a skilled and compassionate LPN to provide high-quality care to our patients in a nursing home setting. Job Summary As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will be responsible for providing pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care to patients. You will also provide safety and health education to individuals and their families, and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans. Responsibilities
  • Provide nursing services to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • Monitor patients' progress and evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions
  • Consult with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans
  • Provide safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care
Requirements
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
  • Intravenous (IV) therapy Certification
  • Geriatric nursing experience an asset
