Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the Northern Regional Health Authority.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will provide high-quality patient care, working collaboratively with our healthcare team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes. This is a permanent position, working 38.75 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative personal and comfort care to patients
  • Deliver safety and health education to individuals and their families
  • Provide nursing services, within defined scope of practice, to patients based on patient assessment and care planning procedures
  • Monitor patients' progress, evaluate effectiveness of nursing interventions, and consult with appropriate members of the healthcare team
Requirements:
  • Eligible for licensure as a practical nurse by the province/territory of work
  • Intravenous (IV) therapy Certification
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Certificate
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in a hospital/medical facility or clinic setting
  • Knowledge of nephrology and related patient care
