Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Inside Sales Representative to join our team at Wesco International, Inc. As an Inside Sales Representative, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and revenue for our company.

Responsibilities:

  • Order Management: Obtain orders through email and telephone calls, verify and enter items, transfer orders to fulfillment, and explain stock-outs and expected delivery dates.
  • Upselling and Cross-Selling: Increase orders by suggesting related items, explaining features, and checking customer's buying history.
  • Opportunity Development: Own, qualify, and develop opportunities passed from marketing, outside sales, and national accounts.
  • Process Improvement: Identify ways for continuous improvement of processes.
  • Quote Management: Prepare, generate, and follow up on verbal or written quotations to secure orders, or determine reason for loss of order.
  • Customer Service: Review open customer order reports and take action on open items, including those items that may be at risk in meeting customer's promised delivery date.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Maintain distribution system backorder report, associated customer expediting report and notices, and customer notification.
  • Industry Insights: Report industry trends, competitive pricing, and customer feedback to management.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High School Degree or Equivalent required; Bachelors' degree preferred.
  • Experience: Requires knowledge and experience in sales and sales administration; still acquiring higher level knowledge and skills, however fully competent and productive professional contributor (2-4 years).
  • Technical Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Office, and ability to perform basic computer skills.
  • Soft Skills: Ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously, work in team environment, communicate clearly, both verbally and in written form, and attention to detail.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to prospect and market concepts to existing and potentially new accounts, take action and solve a range of problems that may be difficult but are not typically complex, identify and define problems and possible solutions independently, and work independently with general supervision.
  • Travel: Ability to travel up to 25%.
